Apartment managers that are thinking ahead are beginning to plan for the next wave of renters: Gen Z. This is the generation that was born after 1995 and at the time of this post, they’re under the age of 22.

While Gen Z currently makes up 25.9% of the U.S. population, they are expected to account for 33% of the U.S. population by 2020. That’s a large group of potential renters that will be flooding the rental market.
