Keeping open communication is the best way to experience a successful project. never assume that the other person knows what you are thinking or how you want something done. Spell it out in writing. In a communication vacuum, errors are sure to happen.

A contract is an agreement between parties that clearly states the responsibilities and expectations involved in a project. Its design is to protects the rights of both parties involved. Once the contract is signed, it becomes a legally binding document, but should really be considered a statement of trust between contractor and the person hiring the contractor.

Finding a reputable and honest contractor is of extreme importance if your project is going to be completed in a timely manner and without a lot of worry and stress. While the vast majority of contractors are skilled at their trade as well as ethical in their business practices, their are a few rotten tomatoes out there.
